Job Title: Administrative and Communications Officer
Location: Calabar, Cross River

RoleSummary
We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Administrative and Communications Officer to provide administrative support and manage our external and internal communications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, managing our social media presence, creating engaging content, and providing exceptional support to our team.
Front Desk Management: Manage the front desk, receiving and directing visitors, clients, and phone calls.
Office Administration: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment, ensuring all administrative systems and processes are in place.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases, both physical and digital.
Correspondence: Prepare, edit, and dispatch correspondence, reports, and other documents as required.
Scheduling: Coordinate and manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for senior staff and management.
Travel Arrangements: Book travel arrangements, accommodations, and transportation for staff as needed.
Procurement: Assist with procurement processes, including purchasing office supplies, equipment, and services.
Budgeting: Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and expense tracking.
Communications Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to engage with customers, promote products, and build brand awareness.
Content Creation: Create, edit, and publish high-quality content, including blog posts, articles, and press releases.
Email Management: Manage email communications, including responding to inquiries, sending newsletters, and creating email campaigns.
Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels, including social media, website, and marketing materials.
Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media representatives, responding to inquiries and pitching stories.
Internal Communications: Coordinate internal communications, including staff newsletters, announcements, and updates.
Crisis Communications: Assist with crisis communications, including developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze communication metrics, providing regular reports to management.
Other Responsibilities:
Team Support: Provide administrative support to the team, including preparing meeting materials, taking minutes, and performing other tasks as needed.
Special Projects: Assist with special projects, including event planning, research, and data analysis.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve administrative and communication processes, procedures, and systems.
IdealCandidate
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mass Communication, International Relations, or a related field.
1 - 3 years experience in a similar role
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent administrative and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong social media and content creation skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, editing and design tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Designer, Cap-cut, etc.
