Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and talented Intercontinental Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests.
As an Intercontinental Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative and high-quality dishes that draw inspiration from various global cuisines.
You will lead a talented kitchen team, manage kitchen operations, and ensure that every dish meets the highest standards of excellence.
Your culinary expertise will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for providing exceptional and unique dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a diverse, high-quality menu that blends intercontinental flavors from different parts of the world.
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient production, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Lead, train, and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
Ensure consistency in the presentation, quality, and taste of all dishes.
Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and ensure efficient stock management.
Maintain and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
Collaborate with management to plan seasonal menus and special events.
Innovate and introduce new cooking techniques and trends to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and seamless guest experiences.
Keep up-to-date with global culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience as an executive or head chef in a prestigious, high-end international restaurant, hotel, or resort.
In-depth knowledge of global cuisines, with the ability to combine techniques and ingredients from diverse culinary traditions.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a large, dynamic kitchen team.
Exceptional creativity and passion for the culinary arts.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
A degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
At least 10 years of culinary experience, including several years in a leadership position.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary best practices.
Salary
N400,000 Monthly. (Competitive).
