Job Title: Focal Lead, ADHFP
Location: Lagos
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Team Lead to lead program implementation, supervise teams, and ensure the effective delivery of our initiatives.
This role will focus 70% on technical delivery—covering Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), financial management, communications, and primary healthcare systems strengthening—while 30% will be dedicated to fundraising and the recruitment of program adopters.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of primary healthcare (PHC) and health systems to enhance service quality and drive sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Program Technical Delivery & Quality Assurance (30%):
Oversee the design, planning, and execution of PHC and health system strengthening programs.
Ensure program activities align with national and international health standards and policies.
Lead data-driven decision-making processes, using MEAL frameworks to improve program performance.
Conduct routine monitoring and supervision of program sites to ensure quality service delivery.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) (15%):
Develop and implement MEAL strategies to track program impact and effectiveness.
Analyze program data and produce evidence-based reports to inform strategic decisions.
Facilitate regular feedback sessions with stakeholders to ensure accountability and learning.
Maintain compliance with donor reporting requirements and internal evaluation processes.
Financial Management & Compliance (15%):
Oversee budget execution, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
Work with the finance team to ensure cost-effective program implementation.
Ensure compliance with organizational and donor financial regulations.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement (10%):
Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance program visibility.
Liaise with government agencies, private sector partners, donors, and community stakeholders.
Prepare technical reports, success stories, and case studies to showcase program impact.
Fundraising & Resource Mobilization (20%):
Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and proposal development.
Build relationships with private sector actors to secure funding for PHC initiatives.
Work with leadership to expand program adopters and supporters.
Team Supervision & Capacity Building (10%):
Lead and mentor program staff, ensuring effective team coordination and performance management.
Provide technical guidance and capacity-building opportunities for team members.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of program staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in public health, Health Systems Management, Development Studies, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in health program implementation, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of primary healthcare systems, health financing, and service delivery models.
Proven experience in MEAL, financial management, and technical report writing.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize resources, engage stakeholders, and manage donor funded projects.
Excellent leadership, team supervision, and communication skills.
