Job Title: Technical Service Engineer (Power Plant)
Location: Lagos

Reports to: Chief of Finance and Administration
Role Description
The Technical Services Engineer is responsible for the efficient management and monitoring of Air Peace Engines and APU's so as to ensure their Safety, Reliability and Cost-Effective operation.
This role involves ensuring the Engines & APU continuing Airworthiness is maintained in an optimized condition of the Air Peace operations.
The Technical Services Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the Engines and APU across the APL Fleet are maintained to the highest level thereby contributing to the overall safety, reliability, and efficiency of the airline's operations.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Continuous Airworthiness:
Monitor mandatory modifications and reviewing the Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
Review and communicate the Engine/APU work scope for overhaul and repair with Engine/ APU MRO entity.
Monitor, analyze and report conditions of all APL wing engines via Engine Conditions Monitoring (ECM), Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and
Fleet Management tools. Review and control of AD/SB assessments and safety critical items and ensuring implementation into ADS System with a focus on oversight as continuous function.
Prepare, Coordinate and present Engineering Orders, Engineering reviews based on OEM data (SL, FTD, SBs etc.) and industry information.
Technical Support:
Provide liaison role between the OEM and the maintenance staff on engine related system problems, clarification, drawings and any support documentation to allow both on and off-site repairs and follow up reports.
Continuous review of Engine/APU spares and communicate requirements and recommendations to Material Planning and Supply Chain.
Assist and communicate Troubleshooting Requirements with MCC and Manufacturers.
Review Engine and APU invoices with Supply Chain and raise any queries with Engine/APU MRO for discrepancies.
Provide support to line and base maintenance staff on problematic in service issues, generating work orders for further investigation or corrective actions.
Contribute to evaluation of effectiveness of Maintenance Program.
Attend Reliability Meetings, monitoring and analyzing reliability reports.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, standards and airline quality systems & policies, regarding the Aircraft operations , maintenance and parts reliability.
Support audits by providing necessary support with documentation and procedures adherence.
Assist in preparing for audits by regulatory bodies and internal quality assurance teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Attend Reliability Meetings, monitoring and analyzing reliability reports.
Contribute to evaluation of effectiveness of Maintenance Program.
Closure of occurrence reports and audit findings as assigned.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify root cause and provide corrective actions to improve dispatch reliability and non-compliance issues aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the Technical Services Engineering environment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the technical Services engineering department.
Participate in safety drills, HSE training programs, and initiatives to maintain a safe working environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety practices.
Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to the appropriate personnel.
Assist Safety Department in Technical assessments as a part of Investigations as and when required
Support and Coordination:
Provide training, guidance and development of junior Technical Services Engineering personnel as required.
Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on Aircraft systems improvement matters.
Participate in Engine trend monitoring of all the Engines and APU's on APL Fleet.
Key Performance Indicator
Reliability:
Reliability studies for major irregularities (Quantity of Reliability Review Engineering Comments and Engineering reports)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Aeronautic Engineering field or a related field.
6+ years' experience in CAMO area, specifically in (Powerplant) (Technical services/ development/ systems) engineering discipline.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, and familiarity with aviation regulations.
Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
The position is based in the CAMO department.
Standard work hours with occasional requirements to work during peak periods or AOG situations and Minimal travel required.
