Job Overview
Clannit is seeking a results-driven, experienced Head of Business Development to lead and expand its business development team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving user and revenue growth, enhancing brand awareness, and overseeing a team tasked with achieving the company’s ambitious targets.
The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Clannit's user base exponentially.
Drive the adoption of Clannit’s estate-related features, Events, and Marketplace by users both within and outside gated communities.
Revenue Growth:
Achieve the set revenue targets by expanding revenue-generating activities and growing the company’s revenue base.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive revenue.
Team Leadership:
Build, lead, and manage a 25-person business development team.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to ensure the team achieves set goals.
Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including gated estates, vendors, event organizers, and schools.
Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining high service standards.
Brand Awareness and Marketing Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to improve Clannit’s brand visibility.
Develop initiatives that promote Clannit’s value proposition to target audiences.
Performance Monitoring:
Set KPIs for the team and monitor progress against targets.
Report regularly to senior leadership on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Market Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Use insights to adapt strategies and maintain Clannit’s competitive edge.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Proven track record in business development, preferably in tech platforms or community-focused businesses.
7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated success in driving user growth and achieving revenue targets.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing a diverse team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Familiarity with Clannit’s core markets and features (e.g., Access Control, Collections, Events, and Marketplace) is an advantage.

N700,000 - N1,000,000 Monthly (depending on experience)
