We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Storekeeper
Location: Awe, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the storage, organization, and distribution of finished animal feed products.
Your role will involve maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing warehouse operations to meet customer demands.
Roles and Responsibilities
Finish Feed Management:
Properly store finished feed products in designated areas, following established inventory management procedures.
Regularly monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and optimize stock rotation.
Collaborate with the production team to coordinate the timely production and packaging of finished feed products.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing finished feed products, including batch numbers, expiry dates, and quantities.
Regular reconciliation of stock with the accounting department
Ensure prompt product delivery
Avoid wastage of Inventory
Agreement of physical stock and bin card to Poloxy
Quick response to servicing of sales order
Daily stock-taking
Ensure proper Branch in /Branch out of Goods
Warehouse Operations:
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Implement appropriate storage and labeling systems to facilitate easy identification and retrieval of finished feed products.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and coordinate the dispatch of finished feed products to customers.
Coordinate with the Quality Control department to manage product samples and disposal of expired or damaged feed products.
Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
Supervise the production delivery, Sales return and any other inbound transactions.
Maintain stock records (Stock card)
Raise Removal voucher and receive Receipt voucher from customers
Intermediary between production and CRO
Documentation and Reporting:
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and product usage for management review.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory, receipts, and dispatches.
Assist in the preparation of delivery orders, invoices, and other relevant documents.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, quality control, and sales.
Provide support and guidance to junior storekeepers, ensuring their adherence to standard operating procedures.
Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing
Qualification
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business administration or any other related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping or inventory management is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role in a production or manufacturing environment.
Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
Familiarity with storekeeping software and inventory management systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
