Customer Service Representative at an Independent Wine Consultancy Firm

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Description 

• We are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to manage our wine store operations, assist customers in making the best selections, and ensure accurate inventory management.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, experience handling stock, and the ability to drive sales through excellent service and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales:

• Provide exceptional customer service, guiding customers in selecting wines based on their preferences and needs.
• Drive sales growth through upselling, cross-selling, and personalized recommendations.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and well-stocked retail space.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, both in-store and via phone/email.

Inventory & Store Management:

• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure timely reordering of wines and accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and minimize stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper wine storage and display to enhance customer experience and product quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for restocking and special orders.

Administrative & Support Duties:

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and loyalty programs to encourage repeat business.
• Assist with event coordination, including wine tastings and promotional campaigns.
• Support daily operational tasks, including order fulfillment and basic store upkeep.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or hospitality (wine knowledge is an advantage).
• Strong inventory management skills with experience handling stock levels and restocking processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers professionally.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certification is a plus but not mandatory.
