The company core area of operation is to provide a broad spectrum of services ranging from Engineering, Pipeline & Flowline Construction / Repairs, Facility piping and maintenance, Wellhead & Christmas tree maintenance and servicing, Composite wrap technology, Equipment & Offshore/Marine Supplies etc.
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Field Personnel to join our Associated Gas Gathering (AGG) maintenance team at SPDC Nigeria.
The Field Personnel will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the efficient operation of AGG facilities, including compressors, turbines, pipelines, and processing equipment.
Professional Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance operations within the oil and gas industry,
preferably in associated gas gathering.
Strong knowledge of gas processing and transportation systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Certification in software Engineering to aid basic equipment troubleshooting (would be considered added advantage)
Project management.
Work Experience:
Not less than 7 years HANDS-ON experience in AGG key rotating equipment such as compressors and turbines with demonstrated excellent skills in Technical Reports writing.
Technology/ Equipment Competences:
Gas Compressors: Understanding the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas
compressors used in AGG facilities. Knowledge on centrifugal compressors instrumentation.
Pipelines: Knowledge of pipeline systems, including installation, maintenance, and inspection techniques.
Processing Equipment: Familiarity with the equipment used in the processing of associated gas, such as separators, scrubbers, and dehydration units.
Safety Equipment: Competence in using and maintaining safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), gas detectors, and emergency shutdown systems.
Field Instruments: Ability to operate and maintain field instruments used for monitoring and controlling AGG operations, such as flow meters, multimeter, Hart/AMS Trek and basic measuring tools, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors.
Knowledge on turbines (Solar and Siemens) instrumentation.
Knowledge Howden screw reciprocating compressors field / panel instrumentation maintenance and repairs.
Knowledge on Waukesha gas engines field / panel instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs.
Skilled at Technical report writing.
Technical Skills (Added advantage):
Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge on the maintenance of rotating equipment – Gas compressors (Reciprocating and Centrifugal), turbines etc.
Ability to carry out basic checks on the gas compression system.
Ability to identify, preserve and store spares and tools.
Ability to execute routine FLM (First Line Maintenance) checks on running equipment.
Support OEM FSR in carrying out maintenance and inspection.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to provide technical support to contractors
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on AGG facilities, including compressors, pipelines, and processing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Collaborate with the operations team to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
Work Cycle and conditions:
The work location is field based in Oil & Gas production facilities.
The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to 7pm) routine over a rotational working cycle
including work duty requirements during weekends.
