Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance Executive with 5 - 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to oversee financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate must be ICAN-certified and possess strong financial management, budgeting, and compliance expertise to support business growth and ensure financial integrity.
Job Description
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align with business objectives.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
Ensure compliance with ICAN standards, IFRS, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial policies.
Manage cash flow, financial risk assessments, and investment planning.
Handle cost control, expenditure tracking, and revenue optimization initiatives.
Work closely with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities.
Ensure regulatory filings, tax returns, and statutory obligations are met.
Support contract and project financial evaluations, including cost-benefit analyses.
Implement financial controls, risk mitigation strategies, and fraud prevention measures.
Leverage financial software and ERP systems for data-driven decision-making.
Academic Qualifications
University degree/Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Must be ICAN-certified (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria).
Work Experience:
5 - 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial management within the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of oil and gas financial reporting, cost control, and investment analysis.
Experience in tax compliance, financial risk assessment, and budget forecasting.
Technical/Leadership Skills:
Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and GAAP.
Experience using financial software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
Ability to interpret financial data for strategic decision-making.
Strong understanding of local and international tax laws affecting the oil and gas industry.
Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and internal control skills.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple financial projects.
