We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
Repair and replace electrical components, wiring, and equipment as needed to keep systems running efficiently.
Install and maintain electrical systems, including machinery, motors, lighting, and control systems.
Diagnose electrical faults and make necessary repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and production delays.
Work with other maintenance and production teams to address technical problems and implement corrective actions.
Test electrical systems, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NEC, etc.).
Ensure that electrical systems are operating within legal and company standards.
Conduct safety checks on electrical equipment and ensure all necessary safety procedures are followed.
System Improvements and Upgrades:
Recommend improvements and upgrades to electrical systems to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
Provide input on energy-saving projects and solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance schedules for management.
Maintain electrical diagrams, schematics, and documentation for troubleshooting and future reference.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure electrical systems support operational needs.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report issues, progress, and solutions.
Train and mentor junior technicians or staff on electrical maintenance best practices.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
Technical or vocational training in electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Electrical maintenance certifications (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician) are an advantage.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems, wiring, control systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and other automation systems is a plus.
Salary
N115,000 Monthly.
