Job Objective
The Contracts Administrator would be responsible for managing the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies, and supporting contract negotiations.
He/She would play a key role in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts while mitigating risks and ensuring smooth contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and procurement documents in line with company policies and legal standards
Ensure all required documents, certifications, and insurance policies are submitted by vendors or contractors
Ensure that contracts are clear, enforceable, and align with business objectives.
Monitor contract performance to ensure parties meet obligations, deadlines, and milestones.
Track contract renewals, amendments, and terminations, ensuring timely actions are taken.
Facilitate contract approvals and signatures from relevant stakeholders.
Maintain an organized contract repository and ensure proper document control
Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Identify potential contract risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Serve as a key liaison between the company, suppliers, contractors, and legal teams.
Support procurement and supply chain teams in contract negotiations and vendor management.
Ensure that contractual obligations, including payment terms and service level agreements (SLAs), are adhered to.
Assist in resolving contract disputes, claims, and escalations in coordination with legal and management teams.
Ensure contractors and suppliers understand and comply with contractual obligations.
Address and resolve contract-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract-related documents.
Generate reports on contract status, compliance issues, and key deliverables.
Provide management with regular updates on contract performance, risks, and recommendations.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary contract documents and reports
Functional Competencies:
Strong Contract Management Knowledge - Expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
Ability to identify risks, errors, and discrepancies in contracts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in contract management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Quantity Survey, or a related field.
Good understanding of contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to handle multiple contracts and deadlines efficiently
Ability to anticipate and address potential contractual issues.
