Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative Creative Director to lead the brand’s creative vision, ensuring it continues to delight customers, inspire trust, and elevate the standard of children’s fashion in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy and Vision:
Define and drive the overall creative direction of the brand, ensuring alignment with the business’ core values and long-term growth objectives.
Develop creative strategies that reinforce the brand’s reputation as the leader in high-quality, stylish, and age-appropriate children’s clothing.
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate creative initiatives into broader business goals.
Product Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of seasonal and year-round collections, ensuring innovation in styles, fabric selection, and functionality for children aged 0-16.
Oversee product design processes to deliver collections that blend comfort, durability, and modern trends, appealing to both children and their parents.
Incorporate sustainable and child-friendly design practices, keeping pace with global industry trends.
Brand Identity and Experience:
Maintain and evolve the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints, including retail stores, digital platforms, and marketing campaigns.
Drive the creation of compelling narratives and campaigns that reflect the brand’s values of quality, family, and fun.
Oversee the design of immersive in-store experiences that enhance brand perception and customer engagement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and capabilities.
Implement clear performance management frameworks to measure and reward creativity and productivity.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Engagement:
Partner with the merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to ensure creative outputs align with business needs and resonate with target customers.
Present creative concepts and initiatives to executive leadership, offering clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Innovation and Trends:
Stay updated on global trends in children’s fashion, branding, and retail to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
Explore and integrate innovative technologies and materials to enhance product design and customer experiences.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
5-7 years of experience in a senior creative leadership role within the fashion or retail industry, with a focus on children’s clothing being a significant advantage.
Proven expertise in creating and executing impactful creative campaigns and product collections.
Strong understanding of children’s fashion trends, branding principles, and retail design strategies.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or CorelDRAW.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate creative ideas into actionable business strategies.
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach to innovation and problem-solving.
