Job Title: Endocrinologist
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Reports To: Department Head, Medical Director, or Chief of Endocrinology
Working Schedule: Mondays to Fridays 9am-5pm and alternate weekends.

Job Summary
Diagnose and treat disorders and diseases of the endocrine system, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hormone imbalances, providing high-quality patient care and promoting endocrine health.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Evaluation: Evaluate patients with endocrine symptoms, performing physical exams, reviewing medical histories, and ordering diagnostic tests.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose endocrine conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, including medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
Hormone Management: Manage hormone replacement therapy, including prescribing and monitoring hormone levels.
Diabetes Management: Manage diabetes care, including developing treatment plans, monitoring blood sugar levels, and providing education on diabetes management.
Thyroid Disorder Management: Manage thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and thyroid cancer.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on endocrine conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaboration with Other Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
Research and Staying Current: Stay current with the latest advances in endocrinology, participating in research studies, attending conferences, and reading industry publications.
Education and Qualifications
Medical Degree: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
Residency and Fellowship: Completion of a residency program in internal medicine and a fellowship program in endocrinology.
Licensure and Certification: Licensure to practice medicine in the state and certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in endocrinology.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in endocrinology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.

Emotional Intelligence and Empathy: High level of emotional intelligence and empathy, with ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
Staying Current with Medical Advances: Commitment to staying current with the latest advances in endocrinology, including new technologies, treatments, and research findings.
