We are seeking a Senior Completions Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to lead well completion design, execution, and optimization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, cost-effective, and efficient completion operations while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Job Description
Design, plan, and execute well completion programs for oil and gas projects.
Develop and implement completion strategies to enhance well performance and longevity.
Evaluate and recommend completion technologies, tools, and techniques for various reservoir conditions.
Conduct completion performance analysis, well integrity assessments, and optimization studies.
Provide technical expertise on sand control, hydraulic fracturing, multistage completions, and artificial lift.
Ensure compliance with NOGICD Act 2010, HSE regulations, and industry standards.
Work closely with drilling, reservoir, and production engineers to optimize field development plans.
Supervise and coordinate completion operations on-site and provide real-time troubleshooting.
Perform cost estimation, budgeting, and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) preparation for completion activities.
Prepare detailed completion reports and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Mentor and train junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practice implementation.
Principal Accountabilities:
Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of well completion programs.
Ensure all completion activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting well performance issues.
Develop and implement best practices for well completions and production optimization.
Manage stakeholder communication, including reporting to management and regulatory bodies.
Academic Qualifications
University degree/Higher National Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience:
5 - 7 years of experience in well completions, production engineering, or related roles in the oil and gas industry.
Technical/Leadership Skills:
Strong knowledge of completion design, well stimulation, artificial lift systems, and sand control techniques.
Proficiency in well modeling and simulation software (e.g., Prosper, WellCat, WellFlo, Pipesim, etc.).
Experience with HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) wells, deepwater, and unconventional completion techniques.
Understanding of well integrity management, production optimization, and workover planning.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in risk assessment and mitigation for completion operations.
Strong understanding of NOGICD Act 2010, regulatory compliance, and HSE best practices.
