The Federal University of Education, Kontagora came into being following the release of the official gazette on the upgrade of the Federal College of Education, Kontagora to Federal University of Education, Kontagora which act No.5 of 2021 was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR on the 31 December, 2021. Evolving from the defunct Federal College of Education, Kontagora which was established in September, 1978 as Federal Advanced Teachers College (FATC), the Institution has offered NCE Programmes since inception and Degree Programmes in affiliation with the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria since 2009. The University presently comprises five (5) Academic faculties and is equipped with the state-of-art facilities. The University is poised to address Nigeria's perennial shortage of qualified teachers and envisions to becoming centre of academic excellence in education.
In accordance with the provision of the Universities (Miscellaneous Provision) Act 1993 as amended by the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003, the Governing Council invites suitably qualified candidates with required experience to apply for the position below:

Job Summary
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to day administration of the University.
The Registrar is also the Secretary to the University Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
Requirements
The candidate for the post of Registrar must possess a minimum of second class lower degree from a recognized University.
Possession of higher degree(s), Professional qualifications and membership of professional bodies will be an added advantage.
The candidate is expected to:
Not be below the rank of Deputy Registrar,
Demonstrate evidence of consummate management and drive in previous positions and in addition, must possess excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Exhibit the ability to be a team leader, who can lead by example, has clear mentorship skills and plans, and should not be older than fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment.
Enjoy strong physical and mental health.
Possess personal integrity, demonstrate transparency in private and public life, be able to command the respect and loyalty of staff, students and other members of the university community.
Be computer literate.
Have a good working knowledge of current contemporary administrative principles, processes and practices.
Terms and Condition of Service Applicable to the post
The Registrar shall hold office for a single term of Five (5) years only on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Registrar in all Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government/Governing Council of the University.
