We offer a wide range of frozen chicken products, including - Full frozen chicken, Cut 4 (whole chicken cut into 4 parts), Chicken wings, Chicken legs, Gizzard and Other chicken parts. Our products are processed in our state-of-the-art facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pen Houses Operator (Broilers Chicken)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pen Houses Manager to oversee the daily operations of our broilers chicken farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in poultry management and be able to ensure the health, welfare, and productivity of our broilers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the pen houses, including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of the broilers.
• Operate and control the control panel, ensuring optimal environmental conditions for the broilers.
• Manage the feed line and water lines, ensuring they are functioning properly and making adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure the pen houses are kept clean and hygienic, and that all equipment is in good working order.
• Monitor and control disease outbreaks, and implement measures to prevent disease.
• Develop and implement feeding and breeding programs to optimize broiler growth and productivity.
• Supervise and train farm staff to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including feed consumption, water usage, and broiler growth.
• Liaise with the farm manager and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the farm.
• Ensure accurate and timely vaccination of broilers from day 1 to 42 days, following established vaccination protocols.

Vaccination Program

• Day 1: Marek's disease vaccination
• Day 7-10: Newcastle disease vaccination (Lasota or similar)
• Day 14-17: Infectious bronchitis vaccination
• Day 21-24: Gumboro disease vaccination
• Day 28-31: Booster vaccination for Newcastle disease and Infectious bronchitis
• Day 35-42: Final health check and preparation for slaughter

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in poultry management, preferably in a broilers chicken farm.
• Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition, health, and breeding.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in a timely manner.

Salary
N75,000 - N100,000 monthly.
