The Zireenza Support Foundation – (ZSF) is a National Non-Governmental Organization (Not for profit and non-socio-political organization). It has been established on 08thAugust, 2017 by the General Meeting at Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, attended by many people and elite persons from different areas including Mubi and Michika Local Government. This National NGO was formed according to the willingness of the community people in a view to deal with the present socio-economic problems in different villages by means of good understanding and sharing the problems of each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making and get-together under an umbrella of ZSF Organization.

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the ZSF ProjectManager, the Project Officer will perform the following duties and responsibilities, in a gender sensitive manner and in line with
Responsibilities
Successful implementation of the activities of forestry management project and UNDP Project in the defined coverage area, which is measured by the indicators defined in the respective project Work Plans:
Provide overall support in the implementation of the planned and envisaged project activities in the area covering project locations
Relevant structures at the municipal level are supported to provide forestry related income generation opportunities among women and men:
Provide on-hand training and support to the relevant municipal structures and related partners on implementation of forestry related income generation and business development activities
Work closely with municipal employment offices and vocational training centre in implementing active employment measures
Support the employment offices in identifying potential establishments (private companies, NGOs etc) to partner in provision of training and employment opportunities
In the capacity of the observer to the Approval Board meetings, provide technical advisory support to ensure proper implementation of project activities as well as prepare the necessary related technical and administrative documents
Implementation of project activities are monitored, in line with processes, rules and procedures of UNDP/ZSF:
Review reimbursement requests and monitor disbursement of payments
Be responsible for the field monitoring of beneficiaries, in cooperation with local partners,
Ensure effective integration of activity related information in the project beneficiary database,
Regularly review implementation of the related project activities in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses; utilize the data collected to increase the project efficiency,
Provide support to the short-term technical experts in delivering outputs specified in their TORs.
Good quality quarterly reports including accurate information of the local conditions as well as regular and accurate updating of the opportunities and risks log the projects:
Support to other ZSF staff in delivering their expected results as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Assist the Project Managerand the Joint Programme Coordinator in the preparation of quarterly progress reports by providing substantial inputs and analyses of situations in relation to the project area.
Establishment and maintenance of good working relations with key local and international partners including the institutions, the relevant central level institutions, other UN Agencies and international organizations active in Cameroon and local communities:
Maintain close communication and coordination with local municipalities and relevant institutions; participate in internal and external meetings as per the request of the direct supervisor and, with the consent of the direct supervisor, any other person in the reporting line;
Establish and maintain relations with other local and international agencies or organizations present in the area of responsibility, maintain the links with the central and local government and local communities and ensure the liaison between implementing partners, and other key stakeholders.
Impact of Results:
Achieved key results will have an impact on the improved peace building s of the local communities.
The key results will also have an impact on overall success of the UNDP/ZSF Office in implementation, technical efficiency and growth of local development. Results will have a major impact on the reputation of UNDP/ZSF in the region as a preferred partner.
