Job Summary
This is an Abuja-based, full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of accounting records, and supporting financial decision-making processes.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
The Finance Manager will play a key role in financial planning, internal controls, and compliance while
collaborating with various departments.
In addition to the function-specific competencies and experience, the ideal candidates must be astute professionals, and good team players, with innovative mindset needed to play in a technology-driven business environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/FRCN and company policies.
Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and financial reporting requirements.
Manage fixed asset accounting, accruals, and depreciation schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and best practices.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in any field.
ICAN or equivalent professional accounting qualification is compulsory.
Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Accounting Software (like SAGE) and financial data analytics.
Proficiency in the use of basic Information Technology tools like Microsoft Excel, Power Point, etc.
Experience with financial analysis, reconciliations, and internal controls.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
