Jaza is a solar energy start-up working to power Sub-Saharan Africa. We build solar-powered shops which charge batteries customers use to power their homes. In 2022, we achieved over 1.5 million battery swaps, providing approximately 186,000 people access to clean, affordable energy. We employ women from each community (known as Jaza Stars) to run the service, empowering our team to become leaders, entrepreneurs and drivers of economic growth within their communities. We’ve already successfully entered the Nigerian market, piloted several sites here and will grow to hundreds of locations over the next year. To support this expansion, we’re planning to hire over 200 people over the next 6 months.

Job Role
The Execution Lead will be responsible for leading sales strategies and driving business growth across our hubs in Nigeria.
This role demands a visionary leader with strong sales expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver results that significantly impact the organization’s bottom line.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
Oversee and coordinate operations across multiple hubs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Serve as the primary driver of sales and business expansion efforts, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
Sales Management:
Build and lead a high-performance sales team by recruiting, mentoring, managing and retaining top talents.
Establish and monitor key sales metrics and performance indicators to drive accountability and results.
Foster strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners to sustain business growth.
Operational Excellence:
Set the tone and track the seamless execution of sales operations and effective resource allocation across hubs while ensuring alignment with the short- and long-term goals of the business, enhancing delivery times and optimizing operational costs.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to optimize performance and profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of products/services and customer satisfaction.
Design and implement efficient processes for the ease of distribution, maintenance and management of all our packs and hubs while overseeing the process of Hub execution and expansion across Nigeria.
Financial Accountability:
Drive bottom-line performance by managing budgets, forecasting, and aligning sales efforts with financial goals.
Regularly review financial data to identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Leadership and Innovation:
Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of innovation, adaptability, and high performance.
Provide strong leadership to inspire and motivate teams to exceed targets and embrace challenges.
Own the strategic initiatives and executions such as; launch / growth plans, business processes, project management, performance management, relationship with cross-functional teams and facilitate stand-ups to get updates on progress periodically.
Growth and Development:
Wear an owner’s hat and think strategically as an entrepreneur working closely across the organization to build, launch and standardize initiatives, manage communications, report and analyze business performance.
Work closely with the team leads to implement continued process improvement and re-engineer processes in collaboration with policy, tools, training, and product teams to increase performance and standardization across board.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Minimum of 8 – 10 years work experience and at least 3 years in a senior sales or business leadership role, preferably with a focus on multi-location operations.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and align diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in business planning, procurement, warehouse, retail management and fleet management.
Proven ability and operational ability to use (ERP, Excel/Google Sheets, BI software (Looker, Microsoft BI, Tableau) and other analytical tools.
Ability to seek knowledge of the relevant legislation in regions or places where the company is situated or about to launch operations.
