Job Title: Team Lead, Retail Sales (North-West)
Locations: Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, and Sokoto

Responsibilities
Responsible for expanding the company’s retail business in the upcountry location by actively seeking and acquiring new clients
Manage customer life cycle through upselling and cross-selling of the company’s products.
Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
Advise clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs
Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients
Lead the development of customer-centric metrics and customer management in upcountry locations.
Improve business activities, processes, and results through quality customer management.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support in developing frameworks for data collection, assessing, understanding, and integrating primary quantitative and qualitative customer data
Ensure agent recruitment processes align with the company’s policies and strategy.
Propose learning and develop initiatives to mitigate performance gaps and adapt to changes and developments in the business environment
Ensure agent development systems are in place and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Evaluate and implement the right product, client, and channel mix that creates efficiencies and growth.
Lead the development of customer-centric metrics and customer management.
Leverage the voice of the customer in driving sales activities
Oversee the collation of market and industry business intelligence to support effective decision-making and sales operations
Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilize market opportunities
Develop a channel strategy to increase the company’s market share.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, and Finance or equivalent
8-10 years experience with 3 – 5 years of prior experience in Insurance Sales-related roles.
Professional certification in Insurance, sales, marketing, or any relevant field.
Technical & Behavioural Competencies:
Excellent knowledge of the marketing techniques and regulations guiding financial institutions, especially the Insurance Industry.
Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Individuals must be self-driven and highly proactive.
Ability to use specialist knowledge of insurance products and services to meet complex client needs
Negotiation skills.
Must have or be willing to learn a broad-based insurance-related exposure and background to multi-task within a small team.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with good initiative.
