Job Title: Production Operations Supervisor
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary
Primarily responsible for leading the operation team members in ensuring that production targets are met while observing safe work practices and ensuring facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
Lead the operations team to execute the production and routine first line maintenance activities in oil/gas field and ensuring that production targets are met and that wells, facilities maintenance, integrity, HSE and business requirements and are satisfied.
Ensure compliance of plant operation within the operating envelope and guidelines.
Execute all plant operations activities in a cost-effective manner in consultation with the Production Manager.
Check and monitor compliance with all NewcrossEP procedures and HSE requirements.
Monitor equipment performance/operability and effectively troubleshoot any process up-set within the associated oil and gas facilities. Conduct and produce regular station operations and equipment report.
Ensure that all routine maintenance and operations and non-routine operations, inspection, servicing and repair activities are implemented to appropriate NewcrossEP standards.
Ensure the safety and security of the plant in an emergency and perform the role of a member of the ERT
Operator of flow station, gas plants and associated facilities.
To execute routine production and first line maintenance operations and minor non-routine production activities as directed by the Production Manager.
To measure, validate and report production volumes.
To ensure that wells are tested and sampled as per the requirements of the reservoir management, validate and report the results.
To execute the set programmes of minor routine equipment services as set out in the facility Manuals and Work Practices.
Attend monthly HSE meeting, daily toolbox meeting and provide technical/HSE input.
Assist the control room team and supervisors in the day to day running of the gas plant.
Carry out necessary operations on plant process and utility rotating equipment e.g. centrifugal and rotary compressors, gas turbines, condensate export pumps (including booster pumps), glycol injection pumps, chemical injection pumps, gas generator, screw type air compressors, etc.
Carry out routine first line maintenance checks on all plant and process equipment.
Where applicable, operate the NAG wells and monitor well performance monthly through well testing.
Take requested samples for analysis, take and record field data requested for general monitoring of plant performance.
Operate plant-safeguarding systems located in the field.
Maintain good housekeeping within the plant areas.
Isolate and depressurize process equipment for maintenance as directed.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should possess HND / B.Eng Degrees
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in field operations in the oil and gas Industry or C&G with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Production operations.
Strong conceptual innovative thinking with technical, analytical and commercial business skills.
Knowledge of project execution planning, economics, and auditing.
Willingness to ask questions, learn, and develop new abilities. Proven ability to deliver in a challenging environment.
Well-developed interpersonal, negotiating skills, and communications skills are required. Inter-cultural awareness, leadership and team integration abilities are a requirement.
