We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Managerto join our team.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experiencein quantity surveying and procurement within the construction industry.
This role is crucial for managing the procurement process and ensuring the delivery of projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management:Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects and manage budgets throughout the project lifespan.
Procurement Strategy:Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Tender Management:Coordinate the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and award of contracts.
Contract Administration:Ensure all contracts are administered appropriately, managing variations and resolving disputes as necessary.
Financial Reporting:Monitor and report on project costs and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Supplier Relations:Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts.
Compliance:Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations in all procurement and quantity surveying activities.
Team Leadership:Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Measurable KPIs
Cost Variance: Maintain project cost within ±5% of budgeted costs.
Procurement Efficiency: Achieve a turnaround time of procurement requests within industry standards.
Supplier Performance: Maintain supplier performance ratings of 90% or higher based on quality and delivery.
Project Delivery: Ensure that at least 95% of projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Private University
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Procurement Manager.
Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, MAPM) are advantageous.
Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Proficiency in quantity surveying tools and procurement software.
Strong understanding of construction and procurement laws and regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
