Description
Join dsm-firmenich as an Account Manager for the African market and be a key player in driving our ambitious growth strategy in the Food Ingredients Market (Bakery, Beverages, Dairy, Confectionary, a.o.).
In this exciting role, you will collaborate with skilled colleagues to develop innovative solutions, drive sales, and support large accounts with enzymes, vitamins, carotenoids, hydrocolloids, cultures and other essential ingredients. If you possess a deep understanding of the Food Manufacturing Industry and excel in cross-disciplinary cooperation, we want to hear from you!
As the Account Manager Africa, you will develop and implement account strategies to achieve business results and foster long-term customer relationships. This permanent position reports to the Regional Sales Director AMET and will be based in our SA or Nigeria office.
Your Key Responsibilities
Set up, coordinate, and execute specific account tactics and plans to achieve short- and long-term sales and customer relationship objectives.
Define and implement a strategic account plan, translate it into financial profitability and goals, and be accountable for top-line profit.
Contribute to the development of the sales plan, both strategically and tactically.
Monitor and coordinate the execution of the account plan, report on defined performance indicators, and take corrective actions to achieve results.
Build sustainable cross-layer networks within defined accounts through direct engagement and positioning key stakeholders appropriately.
Identify long-term business opportunities with accounts and incorporate them into the account strategy and plan.
Requirements
A relevant University Degree, or equivalent level based on work experience
Minimum 5 years of work experience/network in the Food Manufacturing industry, ideally in Food Ingredients as experience working across Africa.
Strong experience from a similar international, commercial position in a B2B environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate regional strategy to a local market’ needs.
Strong customer orientation ideally with Account Management experience
Fluent in English, all written and spoken.
