Job Summary
The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company.
This includes financial reporting, risk management, investment analysis and ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
The CFO will play a critical role in driving financial performance, optimizing capital structure, and supporting business growth through strategic financial initiatives.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
Monitor key financial metrics, cash flow, and financial performance indicators.
Investment & Capital Management:
Assess and manage financial risks related to real estate investments, acquisitions and developments.
Develop strategies for capital raising, including debt and equity financing.
Oversee financial modeling and feasibility studies for property acquisitions and development projects.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure the company complies with tax regulations, legal requirements and financial reporting standards.
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Operational & Team Leadership:
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement financial technology solutions to improve financial operations.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, operations, sales) to support business decisions.
Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
Master’s degree (MBA or related field) is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the real estate industry, with knowledge of property investment, financing and asset management.
Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuationand cash flow analysis.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong strategic thinking and financial planning abilities.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
Knowledge of real estate finance, REITs, and investment analysis.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
