We specialize in the sales of phones, computers, and accessories, and are passionate about creating engaging content for our massive social media following of over 500k across all platforms. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Social Media Marketing Specialist

Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • We're seeking a driven and creative Social Media Marketing Specialist to elevate our online presence and drive sales for our Official Devices. 
  • You'll be the voice of our brand on social media, crafting engaging content, building a thriving community, and implementing innovative strategies to reach our target audience.
  • This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for technology, and a strong understanding of social media marketing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies: Align social media campaigns with overall marketing goals, focusing on showcasing Official Devices and driving sales.
  • Manage social media channels: Actively manage and grow our presence across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), maintaining a consistent brand voice and identity.
  • Create engaging content:
    • Produce high-quality, visually appealing content (text, images, videos) that resonates with our tech-savvy audience.
    • Craft compelling captions, scripts, and voiceovers.
    • Create carousel posts featuring multiple products, engaging product videos, and Q&A graphics.
    • Capture high-quality product images.
  • Content Scheduling & Distribution:
    • Maintain a consistent posting schedule (1-1:30-hour intervals).
    • Utilize scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) for efficient content management.
    • Promote stories through feed posts to increase engagement and drive traffic.
  • Community Management & Engagement:
    • Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages promptly, and foster a positive online community.
    • Run contests and giveaways to increase engagement and generate excitement.
  • Social Media Advertising:
    • Plan, execute, and monitor targeted ad campaigns on Facebook Ads and Google Ads to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
    • Utilize compelling visuals and product information to maximize ad performance.
  • Lead Generation & Sales:
    • Implement strategies to capture leads (email addresses) through comment templates, contests, and lead magnets.
    • Utilize Manychat or similar tools for automated lead capture and customer interaction.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to align social media efforts with sales targets and promote special deals and discounts.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance: Track key metrics (reach, engagement, website traffic, conversions, product clicks, sales) using platform analytics tools and generate weekly performance reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends: Research and implement the latest social media best practices and emerging trends to ensure our strategies remain effective and innovative.
  • Brand Storytelling: Create and share behind-the-scenes content, team videos, and engaging stories to humanize the brand and connect with the audience on a personal level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing with a focus on product marketing.
  • Proven experience in managing and growing social media channels for brands.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to a tech-savvy audience.
  • Creative and innovative with a strong eye for detail and a passion for technology and devices.
  • Basic photography and videography skills to capture high-quality product images.
  • Proficiency in Canva for creating engaging graphics and visuals.
  • Basic video editing skills using CapCut or similar tools.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with social media advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads).
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience with Manychat or other chatbot marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends on gadgets like laptops and phones.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 per month.
