Job Summary
We are hiring a Treasury Manager. who will be responsible for overseeing all financial transactions related to treasury management and accounts payable within the supermarket chain.
Primary focus will be to ensure efficient cash flow management, accurate financial record-keeping, and compliance with financial regulations.
He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to optimize financial processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Management:
Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to ensure sufficient liquidity for day-today operations.
Monitor and manage the company's bank accounts, including reconciliations and transaction verification.
Evaluate and negotiate banking services and fees to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Implement and maintain treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
Cash Flow Optimization:
Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improving cash flow and working capital management.
Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce holding costs.
Develop and implement strategies to accelerate receivables and extend payables within acceptable terms.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare periodic reports on cash flow, working capital, and accounts payable metrics for management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of treasury and accounts payable professionals.
Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
Technology and Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining of treasury and payables processes.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain financial systems and tools.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
ACA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Proven experience (4 years) in treasury management and accounts payable, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry.
Strong understanding of financial systems and technology, including proficiency in Excel and financial software.
Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Leadership and team management experience.
