CBM is an International Christian Development Organization, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. CBM provides grants sourced from private and institutional donors to local partners, who subsequently implement the grants on the basis of contracts signed with CBM detailing implementation, accounting, and reporting standards. In this set-up, CBM Country Offices (CO) perform control and monitoring procedures aimed at partner projects; control reports from implementing partners to CBM, including comparison with original source documents, project contract and cost plans; and ensure compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.

Job Title: Project Coordinator (AT Scale Project)
Location: Nigeria
These are your Responsibilities
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the development of program activity and work plans to support the implementation and coordination of program activities in the 3 project supported states (Bayelsa, Imo and Kano) in line with donor requirements.
Support CBM Nigeria CO and project staff to implement and monitor a coherent, inclusive and qualitative eye, ear and hearing care project in Bayelsa, Imo and Kano including programmatic, logistic and financial monitoring of the entire intervention
Collect information about situation of persons with disabilities and support the supported states and project staff to develop operational mechanisms to mainstream disability in the project interventions.
Provide technical and programmatic support to the states on disability inclusion, sound communication, feedback and accountability principles.
Support the development of project implementation strategies based on appropriate context analysis, strengths and gaps existing to address the needs of affected populations especially school age children with eye, ear and hearing care in target communities.
Advocate and promote disability inclusive development at state as well as national level with government of Nigeria and development partners.
Provide technical support to project staff to ensure compliance to donor requirements, disability inclusion and implementation of agreed plans.
Work with the country Office and project specific Knowledge management/ M&E Officer to develop and ensure proper project monitoring system following CBM/donor format and requirements.
Support project team to ensure that narrative reports and communication materials are submitted in timely manner and are of high quality.
In close cooperation with line manager and Finance manager, ensure the logistic, admin and financial monitoring of the project (trainings, procurement of materials, utilisation of expenses and compliance with accountability principles.
Participate in coordination meetings at state and national level and support other developmental partners to include disability in mainstream services being provided to affected population.
Continuously assess situation and support project team to re-adjust activities as per need after discussion with line management.
Facilitate documentation of learnings and evaluation of the project.
Conduct field trips to monitor the implementation of project operations as specified in the work breakdown.
Ensure effective data collection of all activities implemented at the state level.
Provide timely reports on all activities of the project.
Carry out other task/responsibilities assigned by line manager or other senior colleagues.
Participate proactively in project review and planning process and budgeting ensuring programme quality and value for money.
Lead the project team in developing the annual and six monthly and quarterly reports.
These are your qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in public health, social sciences, or development studies or any other relevant area.
A Master's Degree/Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience with international development organizations, particularly programmes that have both national and community level engagement with at least five years experience in project management.
Experience in project budgeting and planning (minimum five years).
Experience working with with partners/organizations in a consortium.
Experience in advocacy and building collaborative relationships.
Strong knowledge and understanding of project cycle management.
Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
Good networking and communication skills.
Knowledge on disabilities or other at risk groups and experience on mainstreaming issues (Gender, age, disability).
English fluency, both written and verbal, is a requirement.
Good analytic and project proposal development skills for institutional donor.
Good partnership management skills.
