Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible to drive the business growth and maximize revenue by attracting and retaining clients. 
  • You will play a pivotal role in identifying potential customers, building relationships, and promoting the company’s facilities and services to drive occupancy and revenue growth. 
  • This role requires a strong blend of sales, marketing, and customer relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients, startups, small businesses, corporate clients, and freelancers who require private offices, event spaces, boardrooms, training rooms, co-workspaces, or test centre.
  • Identify and target potential clients/businesses interested in outsourcing their recruitment and training needs.
  • Identify and target potential clients interested in immigration related services such as; expatriates’ quota, special immigrant status, temporary resident permit, etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, such as networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive offerings, and potential business opportunities.
  • Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and value proposition of the company’s facilities.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring optimal occupancy rates and revenue generation.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Address their queries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, catering to clients' specific needs and requirements.
  • Conduct regular client reviews and meetings to understand their evolving needs, upsell additional services, and identify opportunities for contract renewal or expansion.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and attract potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the in-house digital marketing officer and outsourced digital marketing company to create compelling promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, online content, and social media campaigns.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase the company's facilities and services.
  • Leverage digital marketing channels, such as email campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media advertising, to reach a wider audience and generate leads.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, human resource, and administration, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the facilities management team to address maintenance, housekeeping, and technical issues related to the company’s facilities.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to top management to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as a business development manager or a similar role, preferably in the real estate, co-working space, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various levels, from startups to corporate executives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Strong market research and analysis capabilities to identify trends, opportunities, and competition.
  • Highly motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary
N350,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
