Job Title: Field Enumerator
Locations: Kaduna, Katsina, Kano and Sokoto
Duration: The field visits will take place over 10 days across Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, and Sokoto States
Background
The Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) initiative seeks to ensure data-driven and community-focused program implementation.
As part of this initiative, Learning and Adaptation Field study will be conducted in Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, and Sokoto States to gather field insights, engage stakeholders, evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing interventions, and refine strategies based on evolving community needs.
To support the data collection process during these field visits, we are seeking qualified Enumerators to assist in gathering qualitative and quantitative data from various stakeholders, including community members, government representatives, civil society organizations, and other relevant actors.
Scope of Work
The selected Enumerators will be responsible for the following tasks:
Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with community members and stakeholders.
Accurately collect and record data using structured tools and methodologies.
Ensure ethical standards and confidentiality in data collection.
Work closely with the research team to ensure high-quality data is obtained.
Participate in preparatory training sessions on data collection tools and methodologies.
Assist in organizing stakeholder engagement sessions where necessary.
Provide regular updates and submit completed data collection forms promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
Interested candidates should possess the following:
A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field.
Previous experience in data collection, field research, or monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members and stakeholders.
Proficiency in local languages spoken in the target states is an added advantage.
Familiarity with digital data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or similar platforms) is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict data quality standards.
