Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Specialist
Location: Ikeja GRA, Lagos

Reports Directly To: HR Operations Lead
Job Summary
The job holder will implement and administer the company’s rewards and benefit policies and manage all aspects of the payroll, such as establishing appropriate checks and balances to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy.
Oversee employee compensation and benefits, compensation databases, benchmark compensation as well as annual performance reviews.
You will be developing programs that improve the engagement and satisfaction of our employees.
Manage end-to-end employee HMO and group life insurance.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing end-to-end all employees’ attendance, requesting reasons from those that were absent and not on approved leave, and relating the details to the HRBPs as well as installation and registration of users on the biometric device in all Lagos locations.
Periodic visit to stations and office locations for attendance audit.
Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs.
Evaluate current programs to ensure all benefits meet company and employee needs and develop and implement new programs as needed.
Analyse compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop a competitive compensation plan.
Design, evaluate, and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal, and industry requirements.
Monitor the preparation of staff payroll in a timely manner.
Ensure proper handling of matters relating to queries/disputes with respect to salary increments and adjustments.
Monitor the administration of all staff tax matters and manages pension schemes.
Design and manage compensation structure.
Prepare regular reports/updates for the Head of HR’s attention.
Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
Create consistent compensation guideline that matches our work and organizational culture.
Prepares the compensation and benefits budget, including the regular monitoring, reporting, adjusting of the budget, and monitoring staff costs.
Coordinates C&B processes like salary planning, bonus planning, new benefits introduction, etc.
Designs and develops compensation policies/packages based on business goals and strategy.
Analyses different components of the remuneration scheme in the organization and prepares reports about internal equity and external competitiveness.
Conduct salary and labor market research to define benchmarks.
Trains line managers in the complex usage of different HR and Compensation policies.
Advice top managers in taking difficult decisions around compensation, benefits, and motivation of employees.

Communication and Working Relationships:
Relates to the HR Operations Lead, HRBPs, and Head of Departments/Units for the achievement and quality delivery of payroll data & benefits initiatives.
Main External Contacts:
All Company’s approved HMO and Group Life Insurance organizations.
Minimum bachelor’s degree, MBA, MSC, MA, ML, and/or Professional certifications SHRM/CIPD, Data Analysis, is an added advantage.
Minimum of 6 - 8 years relevant experience.
Ability to research, compile, and interpret data in a logical format.
Solid understanding of compensation concepts, including job analysis, market pricing, and total rewards.
Adequate knowledge of current labor rules and regulations
Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits
Extensive knowledge of HRIS and MS Office
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Practical & broad understanding of policies, methods, systems, and processes.
Excellent Prioritisation, Innovation, and Creativity ability.
Strategic thinker, and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills
Effective communication / Listening skills, and Team Spirit oriented.
Familiarity with modern aviation-related technologies and practices.

Salary
N500,000 - N550,000 Monthly.
