Job Description
The Online Order Takerplays a crucial role in managing the company’s digital sales channels, ensuring smooth and efficient order processing.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service abilities.
The individual will be responsible for handling online customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating with the production and offline sales teams, and ensuring a seamless customer experience across digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Order Management & Processing:
Receive and process customer orders from online platforms (website, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.).
Confirm order details, apply promotions/discounts if available, and verify customer payment status before processing orders.
Coordinate with the production unit and offline order takersto ensure order availability.
Monitor order fulfillment and dispatch progress, providing customers with updates.
Customer Service & Support
Acknowledge and respond to customer inquiries via online channelsin a timely manner.
Provide product recommendations and assist customersin making purchasing decisions.
Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Follow up on orders to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
Sales Growth & Revenue Maximization
Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniquesto maximize revenue.
Track customer preferences and suggest relevant offers/promotions.
Collaborate with the marketing teamto execute online sales campaigns.
Order Accuracy & Coordination
Ensure that all customer information, contact details, and payment confirmationsare correctly logged.
Communicate with logistics/delivery personnelto facilitate smooth order fulfillment.
Work closely with offline order takersto ensure seamless coordination between walk-in and online orders.
Customer Complaints & Issue Resolution
Handle customer complaints related to delayed deliveries, order mistakes, or platform errors.
Escalate unresolved issues to the Shift Manageror relevant department.
Follow up on complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Maintain daily reports of online transactions and activities.
Report any system errors, technical issues, or challengesaffecting online orders.
Submit end-of-shift summariesincluding order details, customer complaints, and improvements needed.
Professional Conduct
Maintain a professional and friendly tone in all customer interactions.
Report to work punctually and adhere to shift schedules.
Follow all company policies, processes, and brand communication guidelines.
