Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is a leading Non-Governmental and Not-for-Profit Organization established in 1989 by two eminent and reputable Nigerians who are the most prominent advocates of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning (FP) programming in Nigeria. ARFH, a Nigerian fully indigenous, Non- Governmental, and Not-for-Profit organization had implemented projects across the 36+1 states of Nigeria on cross cutting programs including Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health plus Nutrition Investment Case (RMNCAH+N), Family Planning (FP), Global fund grants on HIV, TB and Malaria as Prime & Sub recipient, USAID grants on Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) among others.
ARFH since inception consistently contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of rural poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged populations. ARFH has been at the fore-front of Health & community system strengthening, Human resource for health development in Nigeria, supporting the Government of Nigeria to advocate and domesticate health policies into implementation e.g. its task-shifting and task sharing policy through capacity building for all cadres of health care providers including Physicians, Nurse midwives, and CHEWs.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Programe Officer, TB / HIV Integrated Project
Location: Abuja
Reports To: The Director of Program, TB/HIV Integrated Project
Specific Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Program-TBHIV, the Program Officer will:
Provide technical support for grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring of activities, data quality, and tracking of progress activities.
Monitor the key project performance indicators (KPI) throughout the duration of the projects and report weekly/monthly to the Program Director.
Supervise M&E Officers and field officers and give weekly update on field activities to the Program Director.
Review the performance of existing management information systems to help identify potential modifications of resources.
Keep abreast of developments in grant/program changes and progress in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performances and results.
Ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
Implement and participate in program and project evaluations
Assist the Program Director in the formulation of baseline measures and targets, during writing and set up of donor project proposals as well as throughout project implementation
Analyze indicators and performance, evaluate information and make recommendations.
Implement and participate in program and project progress evaluation, survey and program follow-up in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performances and results.
Prepare concept note, work plan for project activities, and send to Program Director for approval before commencement of activities every quarter
Review reports from the state and provide feedback.
Required Experience
Applicants must have a university Degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy, Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree in the medical field (Master’s Degree in public health is of higher advantage).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria programmes in developing countries.
Working experience with Global Fund, USAID or any other international donor-funded programs is desirable.
