Rural Agricultural Transformation and Empowerment Initiative (RATEI) was founded in 2014 and was fully registered in 2018 to raise awareness and also Improve the livelihood of Women and Youth in the rural communities, Promote Sustainable rural agricultural development, promote home gardening and domestic land utilization for food sufficiency, Promote rural income through rural farming techniques and cooperative societies. Giving hope to vulnerable people, IDPs, and PWD affected by insurgency through empowerment programs, collaboration, sustainability, inclusivity, resilience and Environmental Stewardship. W envision rural Africa where communities work together for a future of peace, a protected environment, and sustainable agricultural led by women and youth in Nigeria and beyond.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Logistics Officer
Location: Yola South, Adamawa
Duration of Contract: Three (3) Months Contract.
Position Overview
The logistic officer is responsible to assist in providing effective logistics and compliance support in the project (A path to productivity, profitable, and wealth creation for women IDPs ) in line with logistics best practices in achieving the project goal object
Line Management/Position in the Organization:
Employed by Rural Agricultural Transformation and Empowerment Initiative
Reports to the Executive Director
Organizational Requirement:
The post holder will, at all times, carry out his/her responsibilities with the utmost respect for the protection of children in accordance with RATEI Child and Vulnerable person/persons Safeguarding Policy.
The post holder will be required to respect ethnic and racial difference during and after work hours.

The post holder will be expected to behave in accordance with RATEI’s ‘Code of Conduct’
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct Asset inventory
Organize logistics project activities and office operations.
Ensure compliance with RATEI standards and regulations
Ensure appropriate request for quotation is placed and correct quotations received for processing
Responsible for purchase order creation and maintenance in SAP
Assist to track, receive and stocking all items ordered.
Preparations of travel schedules and arrangement of halls for meetings,
Ensure that the asset register is filled and numbered
Monitor for the servicing of fleets as at when due and office maintenance
Assist in providing effective logistics services to enhance smooth running of day to day work operations
Ensure all logistics systems and procedures comply with RATEI and donor’s legal, contractual requirements
And any other task that maybe assigned to you by your supervisor
Qualifications/ Core Requirements
A Degree in Business / Public Administration or related field.
At least 2 years of experience working in logistics generalist role
Experience in use of SAP
Fluency in English with excellent writing and speaking skills is required.
Excellent and demonstrable experience in procurement processes and logistics management.
proven work experience in program support with NGO.

Ability to lead, participate and facilitate in collective staff prayer and bible studies
Training and mentoring skills

Safeguarding And Protection:
