We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Product Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our travel products, including packages, tours, and accommodations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for travel, excellent product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development: Research, design, and develop new travel products, including packages, tours, and accommodations.
Product Maintenance: Maintain and update existing travel products to ensure they remain competitive and relevant.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive rates and terms.
Product Pricing: Determine pricing for travel products, taking into account market trends, competition, and profitability.
Product Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including product descriptions, itineraries, and pricing.
Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on travel products to ensure they meet company standards.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and competitor activity.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in a product development or management role.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the travel industry, including destinations, suppliers, and market trends.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages an asset.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Travel: Ability to travel occasionally for industry events, supplier meetings, and product research.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Industry certifications, such as ARC, IATA, or CLIA.
Destination Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of specific destinations, including culture, history, and attractions.
Supplier Relationships: Established relationships with suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators.
What We Offer
Salary: N200,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
