Job Summary
The Manager, African Trade Center Global (Real Estate Assets Management) is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, acquisition, management, optimization, and disposal of real estate assets within the African Trade Center (ATC) Global portfolio.
This role ensures that all real estate investments, facilities, and infrastructure align with the Bank’s business objectives, financial sustainability, and operational excellence.
The incumbent will develop and implement asset management strategies, ensure compliance with global real estate regulations, and optimize the performance, value, and utilization of the ATC’s real estate portfolio across multiple locations.
The role also involves close collaboration with developers, investors, government agencies, and financial institutions to support trade-related real estate projects, including logistics hubs, special economic zones, and commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Asset Strategy & Portfolio Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate asset management strategy, ensuring alignment with ATC’s global objectives and trade facilitation initiatives.
Oversee the acquisition, leasing, development, and disposal of real estate assets to optimize financial performance, asset value, and return on investment (ROI).
Monitor market trends, investment opportunities, and risks to ensure the ATC’s real estate portfolio remains competitive and sustainable.
Conduct due diligence, feasibility studies, and financial modeling for new and existing real estate assets.
Develop and implement strategic asset enhancement plans, including renovations, redevelopments, and sustainability initiatives.
Lead the valuation and financial analysis of ATC’s real estate assets, ensuring accurate reporting and performance tracking.
Establish and oversee lease administration processes, ensuring optimal lease terms, tenant relations, and occupancy management.
Ensure ATC’s real estate portfolio complies with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, incorporating sustainable development strategies.
Facilities & Property Management:
Oversee the operations, maintenance, and lifecycle planning of real estate assets within the ATC Global portfolio.
Ensure optimal space utilization, cost efficiency, and sustainability in all ATC-owned or leased properties.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for real estate operations, including facility maintenance, safety, and security.
Collaborate with external service providers to ensure high-quality facilities management, maintenance contracts, and vendor performance.
Implement energy efficiency, waste management, and green building initiatives to enhance sustainability and reduce operational costs.
Ensure compliance with local and international real estate laws, health and safety standards, and building codes.
Develop risk management frameworks for property insurance, legal liabilities, and disaster recovery planning.
Optimize rental income streams and commercial real estate revenue models for ATC business centers, logistics hubs, and trade zones.
Investment & Financial Management:
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cost control for ATC’s real estate assets to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
Identify and assess real estate investment opportunities, structuring deals that enhance the ATC’s asset portfolio and long-term financial health.
Develop and present investment proposals, asset performance reports, and market research findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Work closely with banks, investors, and trade finance institutions to secure real estate funding, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
Ensure the integration of real estate assets into broader trade facilitation initiatives, including logistics parks, export processing zones, and trade corridors.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, investment firms, real estate developers, and financial institutions to support ATC’s expansion.
Lead negotiations for lease agreements, property acquisitions, and joint ventures with strategic partners.
Represent ATC in real estate conferences, trade forums, and policy discussions, advocating for trade-focused real estate development.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance, Legal, and Trade Facilitation, to ensure seamless integration of real estate projects with ATC’s business goals.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
Lead and mentor a team of real estate professionals, ensuring high-performance culture, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure asset performance, facility efficiency, and cost management.
Provide training and capacity-building programs for team members, ensuring up-to-date market knowledge and industry best practices.
Foster collaboration across departments, ensuring real estate initiatives align with ATC’s overall trade and business development strategies.
Other Responsibilities:
Keep up with emerging real estate investment trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting African trade-focused infrastructure.
Provide strategic input on long-term trade infrastructure planning, including the development of new trade hubs, logistics centers, and smart city initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management, ensuring the ATC’s real estate assets contribute to its overall success.
Master’s degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, Finance, Urban Planning, Investment Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), PMP (Project Management Professional), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or commercial property development.
Proven expertise in real estate portfolio management, financial modeling, and property valuation.
Experience in facility operations, contract management, and capital improvement projects.
Demonstrated success in structuring large-scale real estate transactions, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
Knowledge of African real estate markets, investment trends, and trade infrastructure development.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in real estate financial modeling, lease administration, and investment analysis.
Strong knowledge of global real estate regulations, risk management, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in real estate management software, GIS mapping tools, and financial forecasting platforms.
Experience with green building initiatives, ESG frameworks, and sustainable real estate practices.
Soft Skills & Leadership Abilities:
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute real estate asset strategies.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in high-value real estate transactions.
Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on mentorship, talent development, and performance optimization.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex real estate investment proposals.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in French, Arabic, Portuguese, or other African languages is a plus.
