The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading, developing and implementing people strategies, including talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement, compensation and benefits administration, bridging management and employee relations, performance management, and policy management.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all recruitment activities for the company, including creating job descriptions, posting job advertisements, screening candidates, administering tests, scheduling interviews, conducting pre employment checks, and preparing employment contracts.
Develop a talent pool to ensure vacant positions are filled as soon as possible.
Utilize cost-effective hiring methods for open positions within an appropriate timeframe.
Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding process for all new hires to
ensure they integrate well into the company.
Create a standard employee documentation system; maintain and update employee files as required.
Manage attendance and timesheets for payroll purposes.
Compile employee statistics, including hours worked per month, labour turnover,
and monthly turnover rates for HR performance measures and budget planning.
Manage the company's compensation and benefits policy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and alignment with industry standards.
Provide health and safety training to all employees.
Monitor and manage employee performance, recommending training needs as necessary.
Ensure staff are appropriately dressed and maintain good hygiene to create a positive impression when interacting with customers.
Address and resolve all staff inquiries, complaints, and requests.
Contribute to leadership meetings and the company’s overall strategic plans and goals.
Create and monitor yearly HR plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Review and distribute company policies while maintaining a high standard of service per organizational standards.
Provide advice and support to other departments from a leadership perspective as needed.
Develop a comprehensive offboarding process and ensure that exit interviews are conducted.
Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping Human Resources information confidential.
Manage overall office administration, including facility management, provision of amenities, etc.
Nurture a positive and conducive work environment for all staff.
Draft and review service contracts for suppliers, partners, etc. as required.
Other HR/Adminduties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Human Resource Management, with at least one year in the hospitality industry.
Professional certification in Human resources from reputable HR bodies such as CIPM, CIPD, HRCI, etc.
Great attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven people management skills, including experience in employee relations; strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Demonstrated ability to think, act and plan strategically for talent and talent development.
Experience creating and presenting reports to executive management.
Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile, shortlist and interview candidates.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
