Job Title: Horologist / Watchmaker

Job Responsibilities
Polishing the watch cases and bracelets satin finish them, cleaning the work piece in ultra-sonic cleaner re-assemble the case and restore the water proof of the case as per the brand specification.
Repair or replace broken, damaged, or worn parts on timepieces, using lathes, drill presses, and hand tools. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Clean, rinse, and dry timepiece parts, using solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical watch-cleaning machines. Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
Disassemble timepieces and inspect them for defective, worn, misaligned, or rusty parts, using loupes. Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear. Disassemble equipment to inspect for deficiencies.
Reassemble timepieces, replacing glass faces and batteries, before returning them to customers. Reassemble equipment after repair.
Fabricate parts for watches using small lathes and other machines. Fabricate parts or components.
Timepiece accuracy and performance, using meters and other electronic instruments. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Perform regular adjustment and maintenance on timepieces, watch cases, and watch bands. Maintain work equipment or machinery.
Adjust timing regulators, using truing calipers, watch-rate recorders, and tweezers. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Record quantities and types of timepieces repaired, serial and model numbers of items, work performed, and charges for repairs. Record information about parts, materials or repair procedures.
Order spare parts needed for watches booked for repair.
Gather information from customers about a timepiece's problems and its service history. Confer with customers or users to assess problems.
Test and replace batteries and other electronic components. Test electrical circuits or components for proper functioning. Repair electronic equipment.
Demagnetize mechanisms, using demagnetizing machines.
Diagnose the watch and record the present condition of the watch, list all the parts need for repair and forward the diagnosis to the workshop manager to prepare the quote for the customers approval.
Job Requirements
A Degree holder with a Formal training or certification in horology is an added advantage.
Minimum of [5] years of experience in watchmaking, clock repair, or horology.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and quartz movements, including high-end brands.
Expertise in using watchmaking tools, microscopes, and diagnostic instruments.
Exceptional attention to detail, dexterity, and patience.
Ability to work independently and handle delicate, high-value timepieces.
Experience with high-end brands (Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, etc.) is a plus
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Tactical and planning skills.
Good persuasion and negotiation skills.
Ability to deliver result and work under pressure, resourceful, networking and reliable.
