Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, gender, creed, or political affiliation.
Ensuring storage, stock management and supply processes, as well as hygiene and security procedures, tools, and protocols (controlling pests and rodents), implementing appropriate quality controls and records, in order to ensure good storage conditions (temperatures, humidity and light exposure) and availability of drugs and medical material, according to MSF protocols, national regulations and in cooperation with the logistics department.
Coordinating the delivery, reception and recording of international and local orders, in close coordination with the logistics department, updating stock files and informing line managers on their status (shortfalls, over-stocking, expiry dates), in order to permanently ensure security stock levels and ensure efficient management of stock.
Supervising orders of medical and drug material in order to ensure an efficient and appropriate consumption pattern under budget constraints.
Supervising the supply of drugs to patients, according to medical prescriptions, informing them on consumption patterns and keeping conditions in order to ensure their therapeutic progression
Ensuring efficient supply to other pharmacies managed/supported by MSF according to orders and stocks and using cold chain when needed. Monitoring and analysing orders of depending on pharmacies in order to avoid ruptures of stock or having expired drugs.
Supervising, with the HR department, the associated processes (sizing, staff shifts, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal/external communication) of the pharmaceutical team and the nursing staff, in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required and to improve their dispensing capabilities.
Recording all items received and issued in computer (Isystock) and reporting on drug consumptions and medical equipment dispensed according to protocols, informing on unusual patterns as well as forecasting future needs, in order to rationalise the budget and to ensure availability.
Assisting in training of Medicine dispenser and staff regarding dispensing of drugs and their side effects
Supervise good pharmacy dispensing practice in the MSF supported facilities
Particiapate in the project prescription audit and AMR
Ensure at all times, the organisation of the pharmacy warehouse according to MSF protocols / SOPs to facilitate order preparation, access, and optimal storage of the pharmacy stock
Ensure follow-up, storage, distribution and documentation of controlled drugs according to MSF protocols and Nigeria regulations
Ensure rational use of medical items and prepare prescribers list monthly
Ensure ongoing on job training for the pharmacy storekeepers and drug dispensers in the facilities.
Manage the team under his/her direct responsibility according to MSF HR policies and procedures, supervising their performance, organizing and directly participating in emergencies and on calls if necessary.
Follow up on HR issues (both MSF, MSF incentive staff at the facility level and communicate the same to PMR.
Manage the disciplinary issue among the team. Report to the MTL in case of issue
Participate in pharmacy-related training and coaching of Pharmacy and Supply teams, and reinforce SOPs (Good Pharmacy Management Practice, Good Distribution Practice, Good Storage Practice, Cold Chain management, and more)
Report writing of the monthly report,
Ensure all standard infection measure are followed according to MSF/MOH protocols.
Works in liaison with facility in charge and NTS with regards, to disciplinary matters of the incentive staff while relaing to your immediate supervisors.
Required Skills And Competencies
Education: Essential: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) and licensed with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
Experience: At least 1-year certified work experience as a pharmacy in a supervisory role or in supervisory role.
Computer Literacy: Computer proficiency (word and excel) is required.
Languages: English Required.

Remuneration
According to the MSFW salary scale (Level 7) in Nigeria plus 13th month allowance equivalent to 1 month of gross salary.
