Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the catering business, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and delivery logistics, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Manager to implement operational improvements and ensure the business runs efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Staff Management:
Lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff, waiters, and delivery drivers to ensure efficient catering operations.
Train, motivate, and assess staff performance, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
Manage work schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak periods.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and ensuring high morale.
Logistics & Delivery Management:
Coordinate the preparation and timely delivery of catering orders to clients, ensuring adherence to schedules.
Oversee food presentation and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
Resolve any delivery issues, ensuring customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen facilities and catering equipment.
Conduct regular checks to ensure that staff are following proper hygiene practices.
Quality Control & Customer Service:
Ensure the highest quality of food and service is delivered to clients.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the sales and event planning teams to meet specific customer needs.
Inventory & Stock Management:
Oversee the ordering, storage, and management of food and beverage inventory.
Ensure stock levels are maintained, and wastage is minimized through proper planning.
Monitor stock rotation and manage stocktaking to ensure accuracy and availability of supplies.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks:
Provide regular reports on operational performance to Managing Director.
Assist with budgeting and cost control, ensuring operations stay within budget.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Relevant qualifications in hospitality, catering, or business management (preferred).
Over 3 years of experience in a supervisory or operations management role in the catering or hospitality industry.
Must be educated to OND level in any discipline.
Diploma in Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
Knowledge of inventory management Processes
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of computers and software including ability to use e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Basic budgeting experience, accountancy skills and a general financial awareness
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Salary
N120,000 - N200,000 monthly.
