Job Title: Site Manager

Role Summary
The Site Manager would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day on-site operations for Campus design and fit-out projects, ensuring high standards of quality, health and safety, and efficient project delivery.
This role is critical for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key activities would be to manage on-site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Site Manager ensures the project runs smoothly by handling issues proactively, conducting regular site inspections, and providing consistent updates to the project manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision:
Supervise and lead the on-site workforce (including subcontractors and vendors), ensuring all work is performed according to specifications and health and safety regulations.
Maintain a high standard of site safety and housekeeping. Scheduling and Coordination:
Maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, using tools like MS Projects, Asana.
Work with the project manager and procurement team for material deliveries, material procurement, and resource allocation to ensure timely execution of work.
Quality Control:
Monitor and track project expenses using tools like Excel or project management software to ensure adherence to budget.
Identify and manage cost overruns, proposing solutions to stay within financial limits.
Report on financial status regularly, highlighting potential risks and recommending corrective actions.
Reporting:
Provide regular progress reports to the project manager, including updates on schedules, budgets, risks, and quality control, using tools such as MS Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve or escalate any issues or delays that arise during the project, including issues related to design, materials, or site conditions.
Key Qualifications
Background:
A relevant degree or qualification in construction management, building, or a related field (e.g., BSc. Or HND). First Aid training may also be required.
Experience:
2 - 4 years of experience in project management or construction management, specifically in commercial interior designs and office fitouts.
Experience with renowned construction or design fit-out companies like Micdee, Haussmann Group, and Africa Works.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of construction processes, technical drawings, and building regulations.
Ability to use Project Management software like Asana, Trello, MS Projects
Soft Skills:
Creative thinking and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and all levels of staff.
Working Conditions:
Based primarily on-site, with occasional office work for project coordination and reporting.
Travel may be required depending on project location.
Salary
N350,000 - N400,000 monthly.
