Job Title: Factory Manager (Indian National)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Factory Manager to oversee the operations of our shoes and PPE manufacturing facility.
The role involves managing daily production, ensuring product quality, optimizing resources, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and driving the overall efficiency of the factory.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in manufacturing, production planning, and workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet delivery schedules.
Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials to achieve production targets.
Implement strategies to improve production processes and reduce waste.
Monitor and maintain production standards to ensure high-quality output.
Quality Control:
Ensure all products meet company quality standards and client specifications.
Work closely with the quality control team to implement quality assurance processes.
Address quality-related issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and manage the performance of the production staff, including supervisors and operators.
Provide training and development programs to enhance the skills and productivity of employees.
Promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork across all departments.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
Ensure the factory premises comply with workplace safety and health regulations.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement preventative maintenance programs.
Health and Safety:
Enforce adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and workplace hygiene standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and drills to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Cost and Resource Optimization:
Develop and manage factory budgets, controlling costs effectively without compromising quality.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization.
Manage inventory levels for raw materials, tools, and finished goods.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to manufacturing and labor.
Prepare and present regular reports on factory performance, production efficiency, and key metrics to senior management.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of production targets and deadlines.
Quality metrics and defect rates.
Cost efficiency and waste reduction.
Employee productivity and retention.
Downtime due to machinery issues.
Compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
7 - 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in shoes and PPE production.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
In-depth understanding of quality control systems and safety protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The candidate must be an indian National who has working experience in Nigeria.
Work Environment:
The position is factory-based with exposure to production activities.
May involve extended hours during peak production periods.
