Job Title: Principal Marine Engineer- Engineering Services

Job Description
Promote Safety culture and drive Goal Zero compliance.
Conducts short safety meeting/Tool Box meeting with direct reports for the current job prior to operations.
Ensure that each personnel are made aware of the hazards and is fully aware of their responsibilities.
Ensure that all equipment for the job is free of any damages/defects and is fully operations prior to any operations job. In the event of damages, a damage report shall be made.
Repair and maintain vessel's generator and other auxiliaries.
Repair and maintain all types of pumps and air compressors.
Maintain a good and healthy relations among all superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
Provide all necessary guidance and coaching to all direct subordinates during operations for a proper execution of the job.
Navigate/moor the vessel in a safe and efficient manner as instructed by the owners/clients representative.
Ensure that the hull, machinery, deck equipment, navigation/communication instruments are in good, safe working condition at all times.
Collaborate with DP MRT, Security, Projects, Logistics team, Lifting and hoisting team, to ensure flawless operation of vessels in, out and field related marine activities.
Drive the implementation of BN Marine Vessel Assurance Plan throughout the project, leading to flawless transportation of critical equipment, subsea system installation, Umbilical and Riser installation.
Work with the relevant Upstream Principal Technical Expert in the Maritime Technical.
Work with Marine Vessel subcontractors to ensure processes and documentation requirements meet the BN project guidelines.
Leveraging on the support from relevant Technical authorities, Marine and lifting and Hoisting team, successful candidate will coordinate the surveys and inspection of vessels, review of vessel documentation and issuance of Statement of Verification.
Experience & Qualifications
Recognized Degree in Engineering - minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Marine.
Over 10 years' experience in planning of vessel activity offshore, operations of the vessel, Shell's Marine Equipment Assurance Procedures.
COREN Registered Engineer.
BOSIET / FOET and current Offshore Medical Certificate.
Qualified to travel offshore.
Applicant will have relevant Marine certification from recognized Bodies Lloyds, Bureau Veritas.
Has ability to effectively communicate with people and hence harness support to deliver results.
Understands and have implemented the SNEPCO's Marine Vessels Assurance Control Procedures and Marine Operating Procedures and Guidelines (MOPAG).
Familiar with Shell's HSSE & SP Control Framework - Transport - Maritime Safety Manual.
