Job Title: Diving Operations Support Superintendent
Location: Nigeria
Job Description
Developing detailed diving project plans and procedures.
Overall responsible for diving activities including vessel deployment preceding and during diving deployment onboard the vessel.
Accountable for efficiently managing all diving activities.
Review, comment and approve contractor-submitted procedures, dive plans and method statements and provide input when reviewing or developing new work instructions and procedures.
Participate in multidiscipline design and review activities.
Ensure that the work is carried out safely and in compliance with the scope of works, approved engineering standards, client regulations and specifications and standards.
Under the general supervision of the Head, Construction and/or client Representative, make the decisions on the project issues within the framework of respective contract documents and procedures/guidelines.
Define and prepare detailed underwater scope works for the Flex Joint and upcoming projects.
Review, contribute to, and approve Contractor submitted detailed diving procedures, work packs and all other diving project related documentation.
Promote and develop a safety and environmental awareness culture with ROV and Dive support contractors.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Inspecting and maintaining diving equipment and systems.
Coordinating and directing diving support crews during operations.
Assessing risks associated with diving operations and implementing appropriate safety measures.
Managing and monitoring diving operations to ensure they are conducted safely and efficiently.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Marine, or Subsea Engineering, with professional registration.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Offshore Air Diving and Saturation Diving Supervisor experience.
Water Jetting, Removal of Debris and marine growth from Jackets and other sub-sea assets.
Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems related to diving activities and suggest solutions.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
BOSIET / FOET and current Offshore Medical Certificate.
Qualified to travel offshore.
Diving and ROV operations experience and knowledge across Subsea inspection, repair and maintenance experience.
