We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Your role requires you to maintain all financial matters of the Company such as Financial Reporting, Book-keeping, Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Management, Financial Planning & Analysis and any other duties as maybe required by your job function.
• In the exercise of such powers, you shall observe and comply with all standard accounting procedures/ regulations and maintain the organisation’s internal controls

Duties

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with financial policies and accounting procedures
• Track Payments of both internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Reconcile account payables and receivables
• Look for inefficiencies/improvement opportunities in the budget and make recommendations
• Ensure timely tax payments and returns to the appropriate channels
• Computation of company’s payroll and paying staff salary as at when due
• Calculation of staff pension and crediting the appropriate channel therein
• Ensure financial statements are maintained and published timely
• Determine the probability of a misstatement on a financial document
• Create regulatory reports for internal auditors
• Notify management of any non-compliant employee financial practices
• Present all financial findings to management by preparing written reports and attending meetings
• Develop forecasts based on market & company trends and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related degree
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in a similar role.

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and regulations
• Excellent general book-keeping functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word PowerPoint)
• Financial Management skills: Petty cash flow management and documentation
• Attention to details and good analytical skills
• Discretion and Confidentiality.
