WDCL is the sole representative of various overseas companies in the fields of Information Technology, Telecommunications, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities
The logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
Manage day-to-day incoming and outgoing field materials and equipment, as well as manage safety and environmental issues in his/her area of activities
Log in, Monitor, control and record movement and issuance of materials to various field locations
Be on daily communications with the Asset Planner, Material Expediters (IA), and various field schedulers regarding the movement and reception of materials and equipment to/from the fields.
Be abreast of the availability of various transportation media to promptly move equipment and materials in and out of Kidney Island to/from the field locations, Shell IA or Contractor bases (third parties)
Ensure equipment and materials are safely packaged, loaded, and secured on Trucks and barges, to eliminate falling, rolling and any damage to materials through weather, waves and strong winds
Prepare appropriate dispatching documentation for loaded vehicles/barges.
Ensure Vehicles and barges are properly checked out by KI security personnel.
Monitor the movement of the Vehicle and Barge until desired destinations are reached.
Send out manifest of conveyed materials and equipment to appropriate recipients at Locations and Shell IA.
Report any discrepancies observed at the end of any journey.
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
Follow quality service standards and comply with established procedures, rules and regulations.
Be above board in Ethics and Compliance.
Collaborate with other departments at KI such as Marine, Warehouse, and Century Energy, to ensure smooth operations.
Work Cycle:
Working hours are usually 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday and office-based in Port Harcourt/Kidney Island
May be required to work on weekends or travel out of base location for days to SPDC field locations in onshore, swamp, or offshore locations and contractor site visits.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or HND in any related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years working as a logistics or supply chain officer in an oil and gas-producing field location.
Must have at least one (1) year experience working as a logistics personnel in SPDC.
Age: 50 years.

Skills (Added advantage):
Experience in receiving and dispatching materials both onshore and offshore
Storing and retrieving received materials safely and appropriately.
Adequate knowledge in safely loading materials on various land vehicles, for example: pickup, Self-loaders Truck, Baby Mack, Flatbed trailers, Articulated Trucks (Trailers) etc.
Operation of Lifting/loading equipment like Trolleys, and chain blocks.
Sufficient knowledge in loading materials on Marine vessels: Landing Crafts, Tugboats, and Various barges (Flattop, Ramp, Environment, Water, Fuel etc)
A good knowledge of activities of warehousing: proper storage, picking and appropriate packaging of equipment and materials before loading onto trucks and Barges
Adequate knowledge of bookkeeping, tracking incoming and outgoing equipment and materials.
Good knowledge of Housekeeping is required: Office and Storage facilities (stores and open spaces)
A good knowledge of Microsoft desktop office suites (PowerPoint, excel, word and Outlook).
Soft Skills:
Ability to understand units of various variables i.e., length, height, pieces, weight, volume, etc.
Communication skills & teamwork with coworkers should be excellent.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to easily lift objects not more than 15kg.
Onsite risk assessment capability/Hazard and risk identification.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Self-motivated and performs under minimal supervision
