State and Local Government Auditor-Generals at Ebonyi State Government

Ebonyi State is a state of Nigeria in the south of the Eastern region. It is inhabited and populated primarily by Igbo and its capital and largest city is Abakaliki. It is one of the six states created in 1996 by the Abacha government. Ebonyi was created from parts of both Enugu State and Abia State and it is the location of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu.

Job Title: State and Local Government Auditor-General

Qualifications
Subject to the provisions of Section 8 (1-3) of the Ebonyi State Public Sector Audit Law No 008 of 2021, a person shall be appointed as Auditor-General for State and Local Government provided the person is:

• A qualified Accountant who has held full membership of a professional accounting body recognized by an Act of Parliament in Nigeria for a period of not less than fifteen (15) years post qualification and is able to demonstrate and provide testament to a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience in auditing the public sector.
• A person shall be appointed as Auditor- General for State/ Local Government if he/she possess the qualifications stated in Section 8, subsection 1 of the above stated law.
