The Pricing and Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in developing and managing the company’s pricing strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
This individual will also oversee commercial planning, customer acquisition strategies, and partnership initiatives to ensure the long-term profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy and Management:
Develop and implement effective pricing strategies that align with the company’s business goals and market conditions.
Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to establish pricing models.
Optimize pricing structures for different service categories, including food delivery, grocery shopping, pharmaceuticals, pick-up/drop-off services, etc.
Collaborate with the finance team to forecast the financial impact of pricing changes.
Regularly monitor and adjust pricing strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Commercial Strategy and Planning:
Design and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and areas for expansion.
Develop customer acquisition and retention plans, focusing on maximizing lifetime value (LTV).
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align commercial objectives with business goals.
Revenue and Profitability Optimization:
Track key performance metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, and volume) to identify growth opportunities.
Drive initiatives to optimize profitability across customer segments and geographic regions.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within Erande’s services.
Vendor and Partner Relationship Management:
Negotiate and manage pricing agreements with vendors and partners to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure strategic partnerships.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze customer behavior, market data, and business performance metrics to guide decision-making.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards to present insights and recommendations to senior management.
Use predictive analytics to forecast market trends and adjust commercial strategies proactively.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, operations, and finance, to ensure pricing and commercial strategies are effectively implemented.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members working on pricing or commercial projects.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or revenue management, preferably in the tech, logistics, or e-commerce sectors.
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing pricing strategies.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership abilities and the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of the African market and Nigerian, particularly in logistics or tech-enabled services, is an advantage.
