Job Title: Head Chef

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilites
Kitchen Operations Management:

• Oversee all food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficiency and timely order fulfillment.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize kitchen workflow.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation across multiple delivery platforms.
• Implement strategies to reduce food waste and control operational costs.

Menu Development & Optimization:

• Design and update menus based on customer preferences, market trends, and profitability.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create seasonal or promotional menu items.
• Standardize recipes to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.
• Adjust menus to accommodate dietary trends and optimize food costs.

Staff Management & Training:

• Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high performance and adherence to kitchen protocols.
• Conduct regular training on food safety, hygiene, and efficiency techniques.
• Manage kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Motivate and lead the team to meet production goals and uphold company standards.

Food Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, FDA guidelines).
• Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations.
• Conduct regular quality control checks to uphold food safety standards.
• Address and resolve any food safety incidents promptly.

Inventory & Cost Management:

• Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain adequate supplies without overstocking.
• Work with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
• Track food costs and adjust processes to maximize profitability.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.

Technology & Data Utilization:

• Utilize kitchen management software to track order volumes, food prep times, and wastage.
• Analyze customer feedback and sales data to refine kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with operations teams to integrate kitchen processes with delivery platform requirements.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with delivery partners and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff, marketing teams, and management.
• Address and resolve any operational challenges impacting service quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Culinary Degree or relevant certification preferred.
• 3-4 years proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a cloud kitchen or high-volume production environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using kitchen management software and digital tools.
• Creative and analytical mindset to optimize menu offerings and operational efficiency.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
