Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Lagos

Description

  • To oversee multiple related projects, ensuring they collectively achieve strategic business objectives and deliver value, by coordinating project activities, managing interdependencies, reinforcing agile practices in the business, building self-organizing teams and aligning programme objectives with organisational strategy

Job Responsibilities
Programme Coordination and Integration:

  • Oversee multiple projects by developing a roadmap, monitoring interdependencies, ensuring alignment with business goals, adjusting plans, and meeting objectives.
  • Coordinate projects by identifying interdependencies, facilitating meetings, monitoring impacts, adjusting plans, and ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Develop and maintain the programme roadmap by creating detailed roadmaps, updating regularly, communicating changes, aligning with goals, and monitoring progress.
  • Ensure alignment with organisational strategy by engaging senior stakeholders, aligning objectives, monitoring progress, adjusting activities, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Monitor programme progress and adjust plans by tracking milestones, addressing variances, implementing corrective actions, communicating updates, and keeping the programme on track.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify and manage risks and issues by conducting assessments, documenting risks, developing response plans, monitoring status, and reporting mitigation progress.
  • Monitor and report risks and issues by maintaining logs, updating status, generating reports, highlighting critical risks, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain a risk management framework by creating, ensuring compliance, updating regularly, communicating changes, and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews by scheduling assessments, documenting outcomes, implementing recommendations, monitoring compliance, and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Communicate risks and issues to senior management by preparing reports, communicating status, engaging in risk management, providing impact analysis, and ensuring awareness.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders by conducting interviews, documenting requirements, providing updates, ensuring needs are met, and addressing feedback.
  • Maintain effective communication by developing plans, facilitating meetings, preparing presentations, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports by compiling status data, creating dashboards, preparing summaries, designing slides, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and feedback by monitoring feedback, addressing issues proactively, communicating resolutions, ensuring satisfaction, and implementing improvements.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships by maintaining engagement, fostering trust, addressing needs promptly, ensuring open communication, and building long-term relationships.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and optimise resources by identifying needs, coordinating allocation, monitoring utilisation, addressing conflicts, and ensuring optimal use.
  • Develop resource management plans and schedules by creating detailed plans, monitoring schedules, adjusting as needed, communicating changes, and ensuring alignment with goals.
  • Monitor resource utilisation and availability by tracking usage, monitoring availability, addressing constraints, ensuring efficient use, and reporting status. 
  • Address resource constraints and conflicts by identifying conflicts, developing resolution plans, monitoring progress, communicating resolutions, and ensuring timely resolution. 
  • Ensure efficient use of resources by monitoring efficiency, implementing optimisation measures, tracking performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and reporting efficiency. 

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the programme budget by creating budgets, monitoring performance, reporting variances, implementing cost control measures, and ensuring compliance. 
  • Track and report on expenditures and financial status by tracking expenses, monitoring performance, reporting variances, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy. 
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies by following policies, ensuring budget compliance, tracking approvals, addressing issues, and ensuring reporting accuracy. 
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements by identifying opportunities, implementing measures, monitoring progress, reporting improvements, and ensuring cost-effective delivery. 
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting by performing analysis, developing forecasts, monitoring trends, adjusting forecasts, and reporting performance.

Requirements
Academic Qualification(s): 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree / HND in Computer/System/ Information Technology or a related discipline

Professional Qualification(s):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Project Management, Certified Scum Master (CSM), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PgMP (Programme Management Professional) - PMI, PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) – PMI, SAFe Scrum master (SSM).
  • Experience (Number of relevant years): 
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years in a similar function with a focus on IT products 
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
