Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) specializing in Acquiring Business to lead technology initiatives within the Mobile Bank/Fintech sector in Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of acquiring solutions, payment processing, and financial technology.
This role involves spearheading technological innovation, managing cross-functional teams, and driving the development of cutting-edge solutions to enhance our acquiring business operations.
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy specifically focused on acquiring business within the mobile banking/fintech space. Drive the implementation of innovative acquiring solutions to enhance payment processing and transaction capabilities.
Product Development and Enhancement:
Lead the design and development of acquiring products and services, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with product management to prioritize and deliver high-impact features and functionalities.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Build and lead a high-performing technology team focused on acquiring business, including software developers, engineers, and other IT professionals.
Foster collaboration with crossfunctional teams, including business development, operations, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration of acquiring solutions.
Technology Infrastructure and Scalability:
Design and oversee the implementation of robust and scalable technology infrastructure to support acquiring operations. Ensure the security and reliability of acquiring systems, complying with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Innovation and Emerging Technologies:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to acquiring solutions
Drive innovation by integrating new technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of acquiring processes.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify and mitigate technology-related risks associated with acquiring operations. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Vendor and Partner Management:
Manage relationships with technology vendors and strategic partners to enhance acquiring capabilities. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with technology suppliers to ensure costeffective solutions.
Requirements
The preferred candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
An MSC in a related field would be an added advantage.
Should be well-versed in UI/UX design, user research, agile, DevOps, and cloudbased software development methods.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role with a focus on acquiring business within the fintech or financial services industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading technology teams and delivering acquiring solutions that drive business growth. In-depth knowledge of payment processing, acquiring technologies, and industry regulations.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and a commitment to driving innovation; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
